Planting Guide
  • Choose the right location

Chanticleer Pear, also known as the Bradford Pear, thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Adequate watering is essential for establishing deep roots. Pruning is minimal and primarily aimed at shaping the tree. This pear tree is admired for its upright, symmetrical growth habit and profusion of white spring blossoms. It is often used as a specimen tree in landscapes and offers excellent fall foliage color. Proper spacing should be provided to accommodate its mature size.
  • Prepare an appropriate hole

Choose a pot that is 1-2 times larger than the current pot, ensuring there is adequent drainage to prevent waterlogging roots. Plan on repotting every 3-5 years.
  • Use fertile soil

Choose soil rich in nutrients and with good drainage to support root growth.
  • Plant at the correct depth

Plant at the same depth as in the pot, keeping the top of the root ball level with the soil.
  • Care and watering

Water the plant appropriately, keeping the soil moist but not too wet.
